FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of tools, particularly, to making polycrystalline elements, mainly, from diamond powders and/or cubic boron nitride. Mix of coarse and fine powders is placed in mould, compacted therein and impregnated at pressure with metals or alloys. Note here that said coarse powders represent powders with raised surface and metal coating on relied recesses.
EFFECT: higher hardness.
