FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to oil production, particularly, to double-sided pistons for mud pumps used in drilling jigs in transfer of abrasive fluids, mainly, at higher pressures and temperatures. Proposed device consists of automatic injection moulding units, split mould and system for feeding moulding material. Note here that it comprises additionally inserts connected along face surface to lock core, each being fitted in one of split mould parts while one of insert face surfaces is connected with piston face surface. Moulding material feed system consists of central gate channel formed by through channels made in central part of inserts and radial feeder channels arranged on both sides of inserts and core. Driven pusher for extracted molded piston allows consecutive interaction with rod and insert. Said pusher is composed of radial rods with stepped end surface.
