SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of granulating urea and an apparatus. The method of granulating urea using a scrubbing system which includes several waste streams for removal of dust and ammonia from the exhaust gas of a urea granulation apparatus, which includes a urea granulator 1, a granulator dust scrubber stage 2, a granulator acidic scrubber stage 3, product coolers 5, a product cooler dust scrubber stage 4, an evaporation apparatus 6, and a condenser apparatus 7, wherein the scrubbing system is itself a completely closed system.
EFFECT: invention provides a method which combines and optimises the existing technology of scrubbing exhaust gas generated in a urea granulation method without obtaining by-product or waste streams.
