SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for producing fertilizer granules by granulating a suspension in a fluidized bed granulator, where the main longitudinal direction in the granulator runs from the seed end, in which the granulation is initiated, to the product discharge end, in which the granules are extracted from the fluidized bed granulator. The granulator includes at least one fluidized bed section having an injection section and a granulation section separated by a bottom plate including one or more injection nozzles. A feed slurry is sent to the injection section of the fluidized bed granulator, wherein the first fraction of the feed slurry sent to the injection section is introduced into the granulation section through one or more injection nozzles, and the second fraction of the feed slurry, which is the remainder of the feed slurry, is passed through injection section, but not injected into the granulation section and continuously returned to the injection section, preferably after it has been mixed with the feed slurry. The present invention also relates to a fluidized bed granulator for producing fertilizer granules such as urea ammonium sulfate (UAS) by the method of the invention.
EFFECT: reduction of suspension sediment deposits on the inner walls of supply and transport pipelines and equipment, and due to this, a decrease in pressure drop in the equipment, a decrease in downtime in order to clean the granulator, while the yield and quality of the product remain constant for a longer time of operation of the granulator.
