FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: fuel injector has needle 4 that displace in lengthwise direction to control opening of, at least, one injection orifice 5. Control cavity 17 is connected to high-pressure circuit. Pressure in said cavity acts, at least, indirectly, to needle 4 and control valve 23 with needle 26. Seat 26 is arranged radially between high-pressure valve cavity 22 communicated with control cavity 17 and low-pressure valve cavity 24. Moving valve element 25 confines radially high-pressure valve cavity 22 to interact with seat 26. Control valve element 25 has annular ledge 29 extending radially into high-pressure valve cavity 22. Annular ledge 29 of extending surface faces seat 26 to interact therewith and to make sealing surface. Control valve element 25 represents a valve sleeve. Note here that high-pressure valve cavity 22 is made inside valve sleeve 25.
EFFECT: reduced wear.
