FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: apparatus for collecting and diluting portions of a radioactive solution has a first thin pipe with a ferrule and a buffer tank connected to it, a second thin pipe and a liquid solvent feeder connected to it, as well as a monitoring and control module. The free end of the second thin pipe is hermetically connected to the inner cavity of the first pipe above the ferrule. The apparatus is additionally fitted with two controlled flow switches, a holding tank for the liquid solvent, a linear actuator and a hydraulic actuator connected to it to form two working cavities therein. The hydraulic actuator is in form of a housing fitted with a piston and rod connected to the linear actuator, and the inner diameter of the cross-section of the cavity of the hydraulic actuator is proportionally larger than the diameter of the cross-section of the rod. The proportion factor is equal to the coefficient of single-step volume dilution. The apparatus can also be fitted with four controlled flow switches and an intermediate vessel fitted with a bottom line and a paired hydraulic actuator with formation of four working cavities therein. The hydraulic actuator is in form of a housing fitted with two pistons connected by a common rod, and a central fixed partition with openings for the rod.
EFFECT: high accuracy of the obtained volume of a portion owing to reduced error in diluting the collected portion of the highly active solution.
