FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: method involves preliminary detection of boundaries of fractured intervals of rocks by geophysical logging techniques and subsequent analysis of parameters of converted waves arising in the medium at intermediate acoustic boundaries between the radiation source and the seismic wave detector. Results of said interval analysis are used to estimate fracture porosity of the porous-fracture or porous-cavernous-fracture type based on the facture porosity coefficient Kpt.
EFFECT: high information value of studying the structure of the borehole environment by multibeam three-component offset vertical profiling techniques with traditional omnidirectional longitudinal wave sources.
