FIELD: information technology.

SUBSTANCE: system for correcting deletions with cluster number protection has a receiving unit, one output of which is connected to a signal analyser, as well as an estimate storage, a cluster determining unit and a code combination storage, the output of which is connected to the first input of a deletion correcting unit. The system further includes a special estimate unit, a special symbol unit, a coordinate most significant bit unit, a cluster list forming unit and a priority unit, the output of which is connected to the second input of the deletion correcting unit. The special estimate unit and the special symbol unit are designed to select only those code vector symbols which define the cluster number (list) and corresponding most significant bits of coordinates, which determine the position of the vector on the coordinate plane. Groups of special symbols and special estimates are covered by a parity check system, which increases the probability of correct recovery of the cluster number and the most significant bits of coordinates of the code vector.
