SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, in particular to cardiology. Registration of electrocardiogram and analysis of waves in II standard lead and/or electrocardiographic monitoring and analysis of waves in modified lead V₂ are performed. If more than 0.11 second widening of wave P at heart rate more than 90 beats per minute, electrocardiogram is repeated at more infrequent rhythm. Heart rate slowing, fewer than 90 beats per minute, is achieved by placement of patient in lying position for more than 20 minutes. If duration of wave P remains longer than 0.11 seconds, intra-atrial block of I degree is diagnosed. If wave U is separated from wave P and duration of wave P becomes shorter than 0.11 seconds, intra-atrial block of I degree is excluded.

EFFECT: method makes it possible to increase accuracy of intra-atrial block of I degree diagnostics in young patients with stenocardia due to registration of electrocardiogram with rhythm slowing, and separation of wave U from P.
