FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: overdriving transoesophageal atrial pacing is combined with electrocardiogram recording. The sinus rhythm PQ interval size and maximum and minimum St-R interval sizes are determined during the overdriving transoesophageal atrial pacing. If the PQ interval size is not less than 110 ms, the min St-R interval size is more than 108 ms, and the max St-R interval size is more than 127 ms, the PQ interval normalisation is predicted. If the PQ interval size is less than 110 ms, the min St-R interval size is less than 108 ms, and the max St-R interval size is less than 127 ms, the preserving short PQ interval is predicted.

EFFECT: method enables predicting the natural clinical course of the short PQ interval phenomenon in children and adolescents with using the non-invasive ECG diagnostics of the atrioventricular conduction parameters.
