FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy. Half-moulds 2, 3 are mounted at knockout grate 1 via top opening 6 of case 4 by manipulator with grips 7 or 8. First, bottom half-mould is knocked out, then, top half-mould is knocked out. In knocking out, foam generators 13, 19 are switched on to produce foam curtain 11 between two rows of grates 17, 18. Simultaneously, active aspiration of dirty air is activated to feed flat jets of compressed air from jets 26 of pipe 25 to make airflow 24 above said curtain 6. Dust and gases formed in mould knockout are blown off by airflow 24 into pipe 28 of side suction panel 27.
EFFECT: accelerated process, better working conditions.
