FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: liquid rocket propellant is a solution of diacetylene in formamide in ratio of 83.135% - 30% diacetylene and 16.865% - 70% formamide. Solid combustible rocket propellant is a polymerised mixture of diacetylene and nitroethylene in ratio of 20-80%:80-20%. In the method of producing combustible solid rocket propellant, a mixture of diacetylene and nitroethylene is poured into the engine housing or a mould or is polymerised by radiation polymerisation, the engine (or mould) being rotated about a longitudinal axis in a horizontal position. An oxidant and boron or a boron compound (for an exothermic reaction for producing boron nitride) can be added to the mixture.
