FIELD: measurement equipment.
SUBSTANCE: in the method a VIP-tribometer comprises a cylindrical guide with a tested flexible body, a unit of its loading in the form of an elastic element and a unit of its tension measurement in the form of a dynamometer, and also a unit of variation of a guide coverage angle with a flexible body in the form of fixators combined with a circular metering scale, blocked with the doubled scale-ruler of the dynamometer. Efficiency of tribometer operation is increased due to direct and simultaneous identification of various characteristics of flexible body friction according to the scale-ruler of the dynamometer with unlimited variation of their guide coverage angle.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of identification of various characteristics of flexible material friction in an expanded range of variation of a guide coverage angle with a flexible body, simplified design and reduced dimensions of a device for detection of flexible body friction characteristics.
