FIELD: personal use articles.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an adjustable length stick that, in particular, can be used as a stick for walking tourism. The invention objective is creation of a clamping device of simple design possessing good clamping force. The clamping device for a stick for walking tourism, tracking, Nordic walking or skiing is intended for axial fixation and release of a tube segment designed so that to enable insertion into the clamping device hole. The above device contains a plastic cartridge that encloses the tube segment, essentially immediately fitting to it, within at least a certain axial section, fixing the said segment when the clamping device is in the closed position. The plastic cartridge has a slot aligned along the axis within at least the certain section enclosing the tube segment. The above slot in the said area imparts to the plastic cartridge the diameter adjustment capability' within the remaining section taken along the axis the plastic cartridge encloses the tube section in an essentially continuous way. Either side of the said slot, a matching projection is arranged on the plastic cartridge. The said projections contain coaxial through holes the axis whereof is essentially perpendicular to that of the tube segment, a crosswise axle passed through the said holes. On the outside of the second and the first projections respectively, the crosswise axle contains a stopper and a turning pin for the clamping lever. The pin is oriented perpendicular to the crosswise axle and parallel to the tube segment geometrical axis. The clamping level contains a clutch that, when the clamping device is in the closed position, at least partly contacts the plastic cartridge, enclosing the latter. The clamping level contains an eccentric enclosing the turning pin. The distance between the stopper and the support surface prepared on the first projection outside can be reduced by means of the said eccentric for purposes of fixation by way of turning the clamping lever into the closed position. The said support surface is structurally designed in the form of a metal element that is at least partly positioned in an indentation on the first projection.
EFFECT: creation of a clamping device of simple design possessing good clamping force.
