FIELD: sports.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to equipment of sports sites for broad jumps and triple jumps and may be used both in sports competitions and in the training process. The method to determine jump length, characterised by usage of a jumping board with a mark and a pit with sand as a zone of sportsman landing. Besides, the pit with sand is covered with soft material in the form of a mat, on the surface of which pressure sensors are applied with a pitch of not more than 1 cm2, and their coordinates are entered into the memory of the measurement system, and the jump length is determined by means of the difference of the distance from the actuated pressure sensor nearest to the jumping board to the mark on the jumping board.

EFFECT: increased convenience and safety during sportsman landing, provision of the possibility to measure jump length without use of complicated equipment.
