FIELD: radiolocation, applicable for navigation of ships maneuvering in narrow waters. SUBSTANCE: the boundaries of narrow waters, for example, of a narrow fairway, are equipped with two rows of buoys-reflectors, reflected signals right up to the zero range are received and displayed on the indicator screen, the difference between the present relative bearing and the fairway axis bearing is calculated, the value of this difference is displayed on the indicator screen in the form of a bearing marker, the ship's path is changed so that the marker would be positioned between the image of lines of the buoys-reflectors, the shift of the direction marker relative to the axis of symmetry of lines of the buoys-reflectors is measured on the indicator screen for estimation of the shift of the ship's center line relative to the fairway axis, the ship's contour is displayed on the screen, the value of the clearance between the lines of the buoys-reflectors and the nearest image of the ship's contour is estimated so as to determine the necessary influence on the ship's heading and speed, using the shipborne radar with additional devices for the purpose. EFFECT: facilitated procedure. 6 cl, 5 dwg
