FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of filtration materials from timber. First, water soluble, saponifiable and hydrolysable substances are extracted from crushed timber by processing it with sodium hydroxide or acetic acid solutions, or water, in boiling. Obtained product is dried and deodorised by sublimating volatile admixtures residues in treatment by superheated steam. Then, said product is divided into refined filtration different-permeability powders.
EFFECT: higher purity of filtration material and filtration capacity.
