FIELD: electrical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: luminaire contains a body and a cover interconnection with a fixture means, a lamp with a lamp holder and start and control gear, is equipped with a pulse igniter device, a capacitor, a frame attached to the body and made of spring wire, a panel installed between the body and the cover and designed so that to enable connection of the latter, a fixture means represented by a screw made of glass-filled polypropylene and positioned inside the threaded hole in the bracket mounted on the panel. The panel and the bracket are made of galvanised steel; the start and control gear, the igniter device and the capacitor are attached to the panel with steel screws; the lamp holder is represented by a bayonet socket; the cover is made of polypropylene while the body is made of glass-filled polyamide; the terminal shoe is mounted on a plank made of galvanised steel.

EFFECT: light output increase, rendering the luminaire design lighter, simplification of the luminaire manufacture, assembly and installation technology.
