FIELD: electrical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: inductive power transmission plant contains the primary unit and the secondary device separated from the latter. The primary unit contains a power transmission surface and more than two field generators, each working to create a magnetic field. The field generators are located in different positions relative to the power transmission surface. The secondary device contains a power receiver having a secondary winding. The plant additionally contains: a means for determination of at least one position and orientation of the power receiver relative to the power transmission surface and a means for control of the field generators so that at least one first field generator and at least one second field generator, selected depending on such definition, are activated under essentially opposite signs to direct magnetic flux through the secondary winding, thus supplying power to the secondary device and additionally - so that the third generator remains non-activated, not all the field generators thus activated simultaneously.

EFFECT: extension of functional capabilities by way of ensuring the possibility of the secondary power transmission device staying at any place in varied positions relative to the power transmission surface.
