SUBSTANCE: device has a plurality of microwave power amplifier units, a plurality of input ports and a plurality of output ports, the input ports being connected to said amplifier units by an input signal dividing network, and the output ports being connected to said amplifier units by an output signal dividing network; at least one of said amplifier units has a gain adjusting means and phase adjusting means; a means of detecting output signals in output ports and for providing detected versions of detected output signals to a multiport amplifier emulation means, which has a multiport amplifier model, characteristics of which can be modified to determine characteristics of the multiport amplifier that could have formed detected versions of output signals from input signals so as to enable estimation of cross-talk components within said detected versions, and configured to provide adjusting commands to said gain adjusting means and/or phase adjusting means.
