FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to catalytic combustion of fuels, particularly, to methods of making the elements of small-volume catalytic beds for combustion of gas, liquid and solid fuels in organised liquefied bed of inertial material layer. Catalytic bed element with granules of finished catalyst or that formed in porous carrier volume are arranged in container with perforated walls fro heat-resistant material, wall perforations size being smaller than that of catalyst pellets and spacing between wall increasing that between said pellets. In compliance with second version, finished catalyst pellets of that formed in porous carrier volume are arranged in container with perforated walls fro heat-resistant material, wall perforations size being larger than that of catalyst pellets. Note also that container wall inner surface is covered by mesh of heat-resistant metal with loop diameter smaller than that of catalyst pellets. Invention covers also method of implementing exothermic reactions using above described catalytic bed.
EFFECT: longer life.
