SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of carrying out oxidation reactions, e.g. burning gaseous, liquid and solid fuel, etc. Described is an oxidation catalyst in form of rings, cellular blocks and plates. The catalyst support is a cermet which contains a transition metal, an alloy of aluminium with at least one transition metal in an oxide matrix containing aluminium oxide and an oxide of at least one period 4 transition metal. The catalyst contains copper oxide or manganese oxide or cobalt oxide or nickel oxide or mixture thereof as an active component. A method is described for carrying out oxidation reactions by feeding reagents into a layer of fluidised solid particles, carrying out the said reactions in the presence of the catalyst described above which is made in form of a a low-capacity nozzle and the fluidised layer is in form of particles of inert material.

EFFECT: high catalytic activity, high wear resistance, heat resistance of the catalyst.
