FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mechanical refiners for production of lignocellulose materials, particularly, to replacement of refiner plate segments. Refiner assembly comprises rotor and stator with mounting surface of refine plate segments. At least, one of said segments is to be secured to plate holder while another one is to be attached to another mounting surface. Refiner plate holder is to be attached only to plate segment and may not be attached to the other mounting surface. Segment thickness is decreased and the same thickness of plate holder while assembly of holder and segment features the same thickness of refiner plate standard segment. Said segment may have bores for bolts and lock nut to retain holder plate for making integral assembly of segment and holder. Said segment may have top surface for grinding lignocellulose material, bottom surface to abut on plate holder and bore for bushing to attach plate holder to plate segment. Method of mounting refiner plate segment comprises attaching said segment to said holder to make integral assembly, attaching said integral assembly to refiner disc mounting surface in configuration different from that used for attachment of plate segment to plate holder.
EFFECT: refiner plate holder supports plate segment solely in mounting process not in grinding.
