FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to repair and reconditioning of ring seal used in various mechanisms and assemblies. In compliance with this method, rubber ring seal to be reconditioned is placed horizontally on base surface to prepare ring seal surfaces and to bond said surfaces by adhesive. Damaged section or ring seal is placed in lengthwise semicircular groove made in one plane to be aligned with mate part of the second plane. Said planes are centered relation to each other to fix said damaged section in said semi-circular groove by threaded joint, groove diameter mating with the of ring seal. Damaged section is cut out in the plane corresponding to inclination of through transverse opening in every aligned planes of the device.
EFFECT: faster and simplified repair of ring seals.
