FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to aircraft engineering, particularly, to control over aircraft airfoils. Aircraft wing assembly comprises wing 1, spoiler 2 connected thereto and spoiler extension mechanism. The latter comprises scissor pack 7 including upper lever articulated with spiller by top hinge 10 and lower lever articulated with wing by bottom hinge 12 and with upper lever 9 by central hinge. Drive 8 is attached to wing by proximal hinge and to scissor pack by distal hinge. Drive may select between extended and retracted positions to vary distance between proximal and distal hinges. Said hinges are spaced apart over wing span. Method of controlling said wing assembly comprises displacing the drive from extended position into retracted one. Note here than angle between upper and lever levers of the scissor pack 9, 10 is formed to push the spoiler in airflow above the wing by upper lever 9.
