FIELD: construction.

SUBSTANCE: device comprises a support base with a shield installed on it and with one end hingedly fixed on the horizontal axis as capable of rotation around it, and with the other end directed towards the water area and equipped with a rotation limiter. The support base is made in the form of an open reservoir with vertical walls (2, 3) installed along a coastal line above water level. The shield is made in the form of a row of pontoon boxy sections (5) connected with flexible inserts (7). The hinged horizontal axis (6) of each section is fixed to the upper edge of the vertical wall of the reservoir, and the free end of the sections rests against the opposite wall. The rotation limiter is made in the form of a row of shock absorbers (8) and connected rod traction bars (9). Shock absorbers are with one end fixed to the bottom (1) of the reservoir by means of hinged joints (10), and rod traction bars are fixed to the free end of the sections.

EFFECT: provides for the possibility to use a device for protection of coasts of any configuration against damaging effect of dynamic high waves of any nature, direction and angle of attack.
