FIELD: shipbuilding.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to shipbuilding, particularly, to equipment of ships with large-size mines with waterproof covers on the bottom side. Bottom closure of ship shaft includes ballasted cover in form of hollow pontoon, which serves to shut off well opening. Cover by one side is attached to vessel bottom by means of hinged joint protruding beyond plane, which provides tight attachment of cover to shaft coaming at closing and to vessel bottom at mine opening. Cover is divided into two separate ballast tanks with diagonal bulkhead located in suspension plane with cover vertical position. Shaft opening and closing is performed from initial vertical position of freely hinged ballasted cover. At blowing of this or that capacity the cover from vertical position turns to the side of the purged container, and at further air blowing of other capacity fast and unambiguous transition of the cover under action of buoyancy forces in the required position – in position "open" or "closed". Open position corresponds to the position of the cover pressed to the bottom skin on the other side from the shaft relative to the hinge under action of buoyancy forces. Closed position corresponds to the position of the cover pressed against the shaft coaming by buoyancy forces.
EFFECT: enabling improvement of operational characteristics of the claimed device in terms of reliability and safety in sea disturbance conditions.
