FIELD: hydraulic engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to hydraulic engineering construction, namely to hydraulic structures on a vertical pile foundation, erection of which is carried out on washable soils in open coast conditions, and is intended to prevent washout by shoreline waves or creation of protective shores for expansion of shoreline. Hydraulic engineering structure on vertical pile base of modular structure comprises vertical piles 1 and plates 3. Plates 3 are made in the form of a polygon with a hole in the shape and size of pile 1, wherein the hole is displaced from the center of plate 3. Plates 3 are made with longitudinal projections from below. Vertical piles 1 are placed in soil in staggered order at the distance corresponding to the size of plate 3.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to change direction of wave energy, in particular sea wave energy, and thus to prevent sand washing out, to reduce level of erosion impact for preservation and/or restoration of shoreline.
