SUBSTANCE: display device 100 includes a first housing Ca which is connected to a display panel 11, and a second housing Cb which is connected to a light source 50. The first housing Ca and the second housing Cb are assembled together with an optical element 20, mounted between the housings, wherein the optical element scatters light from the light source 50. The optical element 20 includes a first optical element 22 a relatively large weight and a second optical element 21 with a relatively small weight. The first optical element 22 is pressed by the top part of a protrusion 14a (38a) which is provided in at least one of the first housing Ca and the second housing Cb.
EFFECT: preventing scratches on the optical element caused by rocking or similar action.
