FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: method includes remote registration of fields, brightness of forest vegetation by aerospace means by probing by multi-or hyperspectral sensor to obtain digital images, based on which the value fields of vegetation indices are formed. Additionally the values of the specific energy dissipation surfaces based on forest probing by radar aids are defined. The value fields of vegetation indices and specific energy dissipation surface are subjected to clustering with the allocation relative to homogeneous groups within which the total variability of values is lower than in the general totality. The intersections of clusters obtained in the space of geographical coordinates of the image are determined. The vector layers of sections of intersections for subsequent long-term monitoring are formed with the determination of the required parameters of the forest within the obtained intersections of clusters.
EFFECT: method enables to monitor multiply the same sections of the forest and to determine on the basis of known empirical relationships of vegetation indices and the specific energy dissipation surface the increasing number of environmental and taxation forest parameters.
