FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of catalysts on substrate from glass finer and basalt fibers and may be used for production of catalysts for cleaning of gas emissions including hydrocarbons, carbon dioxide and nitrogen oxides. Method of making textile catalyst with specific surface of 0.2-5.0 m2/g consists in impregnation of fabrics of glass fibers with salts of variable-valence metals or their mixes and drying at 105-120°C followed by calcining at 250-400°C. Note here that fabric substrate is subjected, prior to aforesaid impregnation, to thermal pretreatment at 400-600°C for 60-120 minutes. Then, it is impregnated with 0.5-3 wt %-solution of aqueous solution of sodium silicate for 10-30 min and dried and, then, impregnated with aqueous solution of variable-valence metal salts or their mixed for 60-120 min with subsequent drying. Then, it is impregnated with 0.5-3 wt %-solution of aqueous solution of sodium silicate for 10-30 min and dried and, then, impregnated with aqueous solution of variable-valence metal salts or their mixed for 60-120 min with subsequent drying.
EFFECT: higher catalytic activity and dispersion of catalytic phase, better adhesion of catalytic layer on fabric substrate.
