FIELD: packing industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention is designed to seal a container, where a product is poured to be sold in these containers. The sealing device comprises a peripheral side wall (10), having upper end part (11) and lower end part (12), where appropriate end walls are fixed (20, 30). At least one of two end walls (20, 30) comprises a middle panel (21, 31) and a peripheral skirt (22, 32), protruding axially outside. One of parts formed by one of the upper end part (11) and the lower end part (12) and the peripheral skirt (22, 32), adjacent to the end wall (20, 30), is made with a circumferential peripheral rib (13), which faces the other of the specified parts. The other part is made with a circumferential groove (23, 33), formed between two contact sections (24, 34) and made with a shape suitable for its placement on the circumferential rib (13) as the end wall (20, 30) is installed inside one of the upper end part (11) and the lower end part (12) of the peripheral side wall (10), and as contact sections (24, 34) of the other part are set against the first one of the parts. The circumferential rib (13) and the circumferential groove (23, 33) have opposite middle parts, which are radially distanced to form a circumferential gap (F) between them, inside of which an elastic sealing element (40) is pushed.

EFFECT: invention facilitates acceleration of a filling process making it possible to close a container for a company that does pouring.
