FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to field of small arms, namely to powder charge for light-gas gun or fire-arms. Powder charge contains hydride and oxygen or oxygen-releasing substance in stoichiometric ratio and is intended for placement in charge chamber or shell. Hydrate represents diborane, silane, phosphine, beryllium hydride, lithium hydride, aluminium hydride, double lithium-aluminium hydride. Hydride can be preliminarily distributed in liquid oxygen. Oxygen-releasing substance represents nitrates, chlorates, perchlorates, potassium superoxide or permanganates, or their mixture. Possibility of making powder charge, which contains hydride and oxygen-releasing substance, uniformly mixed with powder, for instance, pyroxyline one, is provided.

EFFECT: invention ensures high initial velocity of shell, constructive simplification of gun, increase of fire rapidity, reduction of gun weight and shot cost.
