FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: fuel feed system for an internal combustion engine includes a supply line, a return line and a bypass line. The supply line feeds fuel from a fuel tank to an engine fuel spray system. The return line returns residual fuel from the fuel spray system to the fuel tank after residual fuel is cooled down by means of a fuel cooler. Through the bypass line the fuel in the return line leaves the branched part located upstream of a fuel cooler in the fuel flow direction to a combining part located downstream of fuel cooler so that it bypasses the fuel cooler. A switching module of the flow line establishes connection between the return line or between the bypass line and a fuel tank in compliance with temperature of fuel that passes through the combining part.
EFFECT: invention allows improving the accuracy of determination of residual fuel temperature.
