FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: sodium is measured in eight urine portions of the patients suffering chronic cardiac failure. The extremely low sodium concentrations in all the urine portions (0-50 mmole/l) and the absence of the sodium concentration variations within more than 50 mmole/l observed when comparing the samples (isohyponatreuria), a severe tubulointerstitial tissue (TIT) involvement is diagnosed. The moderate-severity involvement is stated if observing the sodium concentrations of 50-100 mmole/l (hyponatreuria) and the moderate 24-hour sodium concentration variations of 100 mmole/l, or the absence of the variations as shown by sample comparison. A mild-severity involvement is shown by the sodium concentrations of 100-200 mmole/l and the absence of the urine sodium variations more than 100 mmole/l (isonatreuria).
EFFECT: technique provides diagnosing the tubulointerstitial renal tissue involvement in the patients suffering chronic cardiac failure, and enables determining a degree of involvement, a degree of sodium and water retention.
