FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: test area is made in form of a U-shaped glass tube placed vertically in a cuvette filled with ice water. The glass tube is provided with three flow mixers and has two portions. In the first portion in the upper part of the tube, there is a flow mixer in form of a disc with a hole in the middle, behind which are mounted thermocouples for measuring temperature of dry and wet thermometers. A cuvette filled with a mixture of water and ice is placed below. The second portion is provided with a second flow mixer in the lower part of the tube, the mixer being in form of a disc with a hole in the middle, and dry and wet thermocouples over the mixer. An electrical heater is connected to a laboratory transformer and a wattmeter, respectively, for controlling and measuring power. An output flow mixer is made from two discs with diametrically elongated holes, rigidly connected in the centre by a shaft made from material with shape memory - titanium nickelide (nitinol). The shaft (14c) is able to rotate together with the upper disc (14a) and superimpose holes (14d) in discs in the working position, and the lower disc (14b) is rigidly mounted in the second portion of the tube.

EFFECT: designing a high efficiency apparatus for comprehensive investigation of processes of cooling, drying and heating humid air with removal of steam condensate contained in the air.
