FIELD: heating.
SUBSTANCE: invention deals with design of laboratory installations and is of relevance for organisation of training sessions in Engineering Thermodynamics and Heat-Process Engineering courses. The laboratory installation contains a housing represented by a vertically positioned tube fabricated of a circular section glass pipe that contains an electrical heater, a flow mixer installed downstream relative to the heater, an auto-type transformer and a wattmeter. The housing tube has a section necking in in its central part for the flow mixing and a tapering discharge nipple. On the outer surface side there is thermal insulation applied onto the housing. The electric heater is represented by two tubes attached to the installation housing and acting as the electric heater lower and upper sections. There between an intermediary flow mixer is mounted represented by a perforated mica disk.
EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of air flow heating.
