FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: donor film which includes an organic donor layer and a transferable substrate which includes a lower electrode are prepared. The organic donor layer is thermally transferred on top of the lower electrode of the transferable substrate to form an organic layer by placing a donor film between the transferable substrate and a thermal head and bringing the transferable substrate and the thermal head into tight contact with each other through magnetic attraction of a magnetic body, and an upper electrode is then formed on the organic layer to obtain an organic electroluminescent element. This provides an organic electroluminescent element of excellent quality and having no irregularities when transferring the organic donor layer from the donor film, even when the transferable substrate is large.
EFFECT: eliminating irregularities with large surface area of the element.
