The display device substrate has a gas-proof insulating film on a layer on top of the light-sensitive resinous film in order to prevent spreading of the gaseous substance formed from the light-sensitive resinous film, or has a gas-proof insulating film between the light-sensitive resinous film and the pixel electrode in order to prevent spreading of gaseous substance formed from the light-sensitive resinous film.
