SUBSTANCE: invention provides a display device substrate having: a light-sensitive resinous film; and a pixel electrode in that order on the side of the insulating substrate. The display device substrate has a gas-proof insulating film on a layer on top of the light-sensitive resinous film in order to prevent spreading of the gaseous substance formed from the light-sensitive resinous film, or has a gas-proof insulating film between the light-sensitive resinous film and the pixel electrode in order to prevent spreading of gaseous substance formed from the light-sensitive resinous film.

EFFECT: eliminating defects caused by gaseous substance or bubbles in the pixel region.
