SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of animals trapping. The trap for animals comprises a housing having an inlet, a drop shutter and a support. In the upper wall of the housing a through slot is made. In the slot the drop shutter is located in the open position. At the turn of the housing around the support the shutter moves along the slot to the closed position. The shutter has a rest. In the closed position of the drop shutter the rest rests on the upper wall of the housing.

EFFECT: increased reliability of the trap and its constructive simplification is provided.
