SMALL ANIMAL CATCH Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

FIELD: animal catching devices. SUBSTANCE: catch has thin-walled elongate casing 1 open at one end, central support 2 or curved supporting surface allowing casing 1 to roll and drop gate 3 pivotally fixed at casing inlet adjacent to casing top part and provided with pole 4. When animal attracted by smell of bait enters into catch, the latter is urged to roll by weight of animal from waiting position with raised gate supported by pole 4 to closed position with fallen drop gate. Drop gate 4 is blocked in its closed position by steps or projections 5 on lower and/or side walls of casing 1. When animal tries to exit from catch by itself, drop gate is blocked by animal weight acting upon poles. EFFECT: simplified construction, provision for preventing animal from getting out of catch by himself, simplified usage and catching of rodents in home conditions as well as in hunting. 2 dwg
