FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building and may be used for forging thin-wall cylindrical articles. Local radial recesses are formed at round sheet billet flange part to turn over said billet by its recesses upward and to draw it for making a cylindrical barrel. Then, extra recesses are forged at barrel cylindrical surface along its axis. Then, final barrel drawing is made with displacement of radial recesses at flange part to article cylindrical part with conserved extra recesses at the article. Note here that said local recesses in amount of 12-24 feature the depth equal to 0.4-0.6 of sheet initial thickness.
EFFECT: ruled out scallops in drawing of anisotropic materials, loss in article shape stability and shape distortion.
