SUBSTANCE: system includes a processor- based subsystem; a spatial tracker; a mock welding tool; and a display device; wherein the system simulates, in virtual reality space, a weld puddle having real-time molten metal fluidity and heat dissipation characteristics and displays the simulated weld puddle on at least one display device in real-time.
EFFECT: high quality of training a mock welding tool user to weld by providing the user with virtual feedback of molten metal fluidity and heat dissipation characteristics of the simulated weld puddle in real-time.
