FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to chemical engineering, specifically to methods of producing sorption materials. The method involves depositing polyaniline on the surface of a support in oxidative conditions. To increase capacity for platinum metals and selectivity, the sorbent is turned to emeraldine-base form with 0.1-0.5 M ammonia solution.
EFFECT: invention enables selective extraction of platinum metals in the presence of copper (II) ions, nickel (II) ions, iron (III) ions, etc.
