FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production and use of materials for sorption extraction of valuable elements from aqueous solutions. Sorbent is silica gel with chemically grafted groups of 2-carboxyphenyl(alkyl)sulphide. Sorption of palladium (II) is carried out from 0.1–4 M HCl, desorption is carried out with ammonium buffer solution with pH 10.0.
EFFECT: invention enables quantitative and selective extraction of palladium ions from solutions of a complex composition containing ions of platinum (IV), copper (II) and nickel (II) ions, during sorption from 0.1–4 M HCl and enables quantitative desorption of palladium (II).
