FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method comprises strip hot rolling at wide-strip finishing mill stands equipped with device for bending working rolls in vertical plane. Redistribution of unit stress at inlet and outlet cross-sections of deformation zone that decreases difference in finished strips thickness is brought about by measuring the departure of strip width behind the last finishing mill stand ΔB=Bact-Bset from preset magnitude and affecting working roll bending forces at said stands in compliance with mathematical expression allowing for empirically defined "bending force-width" ratio factor.
EFFECT: stabilised width of hot-rolled strips.
