FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: method includes slabs heating, and their hot rolling in roughing and finishing mills. The slabs width is set considering width allowance maximum 20 mm in relation to the required width of the hot rolled straps, and length difference between the slabs is maximum 200 mm, heating is performed with the slabs setting in series by one row, rolling in finishing mills group is performed with between mills tensioning equal to 13-35 MPa, and cobbing in the first and second mills by at least 45%, in the third and fourth mills by at least 30%, in fifth and sixth mills by at least 20%, and in seventh mill by at maximum 15%.
EFFECT: increased accuracy of geometrical dimensions through thickness of the straps rolled in continuous broad-strip mill.
