FIELD: test engineering.
SUBSTANCE: test and reference samples are alternately placed in a chamber isolated from light, cooled with liquid nitrogen, luminescence of polyethylene is actuated using a source of ultraviolet radiation, which is registered by a photodetector and according to the value of photoresponse of the test and reference samples respectively, the degree of crosslinking is determined.
EFFECT: invention enables to improve the accuracy of monitoring the degree of crosslinking polyethylene, operational efficiency of implementation, and to simplify the method of monitoring.
