SUBSTANCE: disclosed is a mobile telephone which is capable of receiving and displaying SMS containing an automatically readable element code, the elements of which are selected from a set of characters used in standard SMS services. The method involves: selecting elements of said automatically readable element code as a set of digits that are displayed equidistantly on mobile telephone displays, wherein the element code contains a codebook used as template for recognising and interpreting code elements by applying a correlation and matching technique to simplify interpretation and, to a considerable degree, independence of interpretation from fonts and display characteristics; arranging code elements to form a perfect grid; capturing the automatically readable element code at a sufficient speed to reduce image smearing; determining components which corresponds to separation characters at the beginning and the end of lines of the element code; decoding said SMS tickets or coupons and registration thereof in a ticket management system so that they are inaccessible for reuse.
EFFECT: method of delivering coded tickets of a SMS service which is applicable to all mobile telephones and is simple to adapt.
