MULTILAYERED SOCK AND ITS MANUFACTURE METHOD Russian patent published in 2013 - IPC A41D31/02

Abstract RU 2492780 C2

FIELD: personal use articles.

SUBSTANCE: multilayered sock relates to special-purpose hosiery products intended for usage under extreme wearing conditions, in the first place - for hunters, fishers as well as persons going in for extreme sports (trekking, kayaking, yachting etc.). The multilayered sock contains the outer and the inner knitted socks and a semi-permeable membrane positioned between them, all bonded to each other in a pin-point way with hot-melt glue. The total area of the bonded sections surface is 5-30% of the product surface total area, the knitted socks stitch size in excess of that of the glue pin-points. According to the method for the multilayered sock fabrication, one knits the inner and the outer socks, applies hot-melt glue onto the both surfaces of the semi-permeable membrane in a pin-point way at equal spacing, shapes the semi-permeable membrane in the form of a flat sock the size whereof exceeds that of the ready product by 100-150%, sequentially puts onto a flat mould the size whereof corresponds to that of the membrane, the outer sock turned inside out, the membrane and the inner sock, right side up, and bonds all the layers together; then one removes the ready product from the mould and subjects it to shock cooling; the hot-melt glue is applied so that the total area of the bonded sections surface is 5-30% of the sock surface total area, the knitted socks stitch size in excess of that of the glue pin-points. .

EFFECT: method for a multilayered sock fabrication enables achievement of manufactured products size stability.
